Horse Riding, Via Ferrata & Zipline
Arabian horses on the canyon rim, Via Ferrata cliff climbing and Bosnia's highest zip line — a full day above the Tara River.
The bike route runs alongside the Sutjeska River through the heart of the national park — 11 km out, 11 km back, entirely flat, entirely shaded by forest. No climbing, no technical sections. Just trails, river sounds and the kind of silence that Sutjeska is famous for.
At the far end of the route, the zip line takes you across the Sutjeska and then the Drina — the cable runs bidirectionally between the two banks, so you cross and come back. The group is small (maximum 8) which means unhurried time at each point and a more personal experience on the trails.
The day ends with hot soup and lunch back at Tjentište. All meals and all fees are included. Bikes and zipline equipment are provided. No prior cycling or zipline experience needed.
The route follows the Sutjeska River through the national park — 11 km out along the riverbank through continuous forest shade, 11 km back. No climbs, no technical sections. This is a trail you can ride at a conversational pace while actually looking at the forest around you.
At the end of the bike trail the zip line crosses both the Sutjeska and the Drina rivers. The cable runs bidirectionally — you cross one way, then back. The views from the line are best where the rivers meet the canyon walls. Full safety equipment and briefing before departure.
This is the smallest group size of any tour we run. That means no waiting at the zipline platform, a pace that works for everyone on the trail and a day that feels genuinely unhurried. The guide sets the tempo and stops wherever the group wants to.
After the return ride the day concludes with hot soup and a full lunch at the Tjentište centre. It's a proper meal after a proper day — included in the tour, no extra costs.
Start and finish at Tjentište. The pace on the trail is set by the group — stop whenever you want. Timings are indicative.
Start at Tjentište, bikes distributed and helmets fitted. The trail out follows the Sutjeska River through continuous forest — flat, shaded, quiet. At the far end the zip line crosses both rivers. Then the return ride along the same trail, a different light in the trees. Finish with hot soup and lunch at the centre.
The zip line over the Sutjeska and Drina rivers adds a real layer of excitement to what is otherwise a very peaceful day. The biking route is genuinely relaxing — flat, shaded, beautiful. The contrast between the two halves of the day is what makes it work. Great for families and anyone who wants adrenaline without the full physical commitment.
The biking route is beautiful — following the river through the forest, no traffic, just nature. The zip line was fun though shorter than I expected. The small group size made the whole day feel very personal. Good option if you want a relaxed day with one adrenaline moment rather than a full adventure programme.
A refreshing and tranquil day in Sutjeska. The 22 km bike ride sounds like a lot but the completely flat terrain means it never becomes a slog — it's more of a long, leisurely cruise through a primeval landscape. The zip line across the rivers was a good finale. Hot lunch at the end rounded it off nicely.
